Fabian Dembski

Professor of Digital Participatory City Planning @ TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology

Fabian Dembski has a professional background in architecture and urban planning. Currently he is a research professor at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech, Estonia) at the Academy of Architecture and Urban Studies. Furthermore he is a researcher at the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS, Germany). In his research he is focusing on topics related inter alia to the digital transformation in urban planning and participatory processes, spatial analysis, urban simulation, visualization and urban digital twins. In addition, he is working on topics related to sustainable urban development, post-oil scenarios and urban inward development.

Dembski received his PhD from TU Wien, has years of experience in practice, research and teaching. He was, among others, a visiting researcher at Université Paris-Sorbonne IV and is a visiting lecturer at TU Wien.
