Manel Muñoz (Barcelona,1996) is a Catalan perceptual artist based in Barcelona, best known for developing and installing a cybernetic sensory organ to perceive changes in atmospheric pressure in his body. The barometric organ allows him to perceive the arrival of cyclones and anticyclones via beat frequencies transmitted through the skull. Depending on the input perceived, he can predict weather changes as well as feel at what altitude he is in.
Muñoz studied contemporary photography in Barcelona and became Cyborg Foundation’s artist in residence in 2016. In 2017, he co-founded the Transpecies Society, an association that gives voice to people who do not identify as being 100% human and raises awareness on the issues they face. The association, based in Barcelona, offers workshops specialised in the design and creation of new sensory organs.
Muñoz has shared his experience as a cyborg artist by performing and speaking in conferences and festivals in Germany, UK, Romania, Spain and The Netherlands among others.

He is currently the Lead Director on blockchain and cryptocurrency at ARQ Group. JP is specialized in resilience-building strategies and was a Technical Consultant to The Commonwealth Secretariat and acted as advisor to 9 governments across 3 continents. Prior to joining ARQ Group, JP was the Group Board Secretary of a London and Helsinki listed mining company. He also formed part of the private secretariat of the former Prime Minister and of the Governor of the Central Bank of Malta. An economist by profession, JP followed post-graduate studies in economics and political economy at the University of Malta and the London School of Economics. André Xuereb is physicist from Malta. He read for an undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics at the University of Malta, a PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Southampton in the UK, and a master degree in entrepreneurship at the University of Malta. He is professor of atomic and quantum physics at the University of Malta, is Science Policy Officer of the Malta Chamber of Scientists, represents Malta on several European research networks, and was recently elected as the first Maltese member of the Global Young Academy. André has an active career in science, having established and leading the quantum research group at the University of Malta, and co-owns an educational software startup.
