How advancements in technology, such as AI, are closing the SME finance gap in fast growing economies

Across the world, SMEs are more likely to be significantly affected by the challenges created by the COVID-19 crisis, especially in markets that have experienced lockdowns. New technology is helping SMEs borrow the money they need not just to survive, but to flourish post-pandemic.

In fast-growing economies, the credit gap for small-medium sized businesses is more than US$5.2 trillion every year according to the IFC, despite most of these economies growing at around 3-4% every year. But traditional lenders aren’t set up give small loans to SMEs quickly, if at all.

In Czech Republic, for example, it can take around two weeks to get a loan, loans under US$50,000 are rarely approved, and often SMEs can’t provide the necessary documents or required collateral.

However, using innovative technologies like artificial intelligence, digital SME lenders ares giving SMEs in fast-growing economies fast and easy access to credit, giving them the opportunity to build a credit history, often for the first time, in key sectors like construction, healthcare and agriculture.

The fintech sector can ensure that SMEs are able to easily and securely access the capital they need during this crucial time, and continue to operate, innovate and flourish beyond the pandemic. Fintech lenders for SMEs have an important role to play in helping businesses to survive and economies to emerge from the global economic crisis.

Fashion_TECH – trending technology, legal and sales topics

Fashion by definition is subject to change, while the fashion industry has remained relatively intact for a bit of time. Innovative fast-paced technologies reshape the way we see the future of the industry in every single aspect from production to wearing and backward.

However, Innovations to traditional retail sectors and digital natives has a different “taste”. Collaborations that were unimaginable before – happen today. However, there is still plenty of room for innovation and discussion about trending technology, sales, and legal topics, that follow every aspect of the fashion industry – be it in retail or online. This is where we meet to discuss the ongoing shift.
